Research interest
In Escherichia coli and many other bacteria, successful division into identical daughter cells requires proper positioning of a septal ring at midcell prior to constriction. I am studying the factors that govern this process to better understand how cells establish spatiotemporal control of the division process and coordinate it with the cell cycle.
